City police hold Niles man on receiving stolen property warrant

NILES -- A man was arrested in Niles on Wednesday on a warrant for receiving and concealing stolen property.
Charles Allen Biggs, 38, 227 Brooks, Niles, was arrested on the warrant out of Niles City Police Department.
He was transported to the Niles City Police Department, where he was booked and lodged with a $10,000 cash bond.
The police report didn't provide information as to where in Niles Biggs was arrested.
In other police reports:
Tyrone Thomas Harris, 27, 520 Cass St., Niles, was arrested after officers were doing surveillance near 317 N 7th St., which is a high crime drug trafficking area, the police report said.
The officers saw a person, later identified as Harris, was allegedly handling something in the shade of a tree before he walked away.
Told by the officers to stop, Harris instead fled on foot.
The officers, however, eventually caught up with Harris and placed him in hand cuffs.
One of the officers went back to the tree and found 18.7 grams of marijuana plus weighing equipment.
Harris was subsequently arrested.
Prentice Michael Murphy, 26, 1010 N. Eight St., Niles, was arrested after a police officer stopped a vehicle for loud exhaust on 10th and Regent streets, the police report said.
The officer made contact with the driver.
Murphy was subsequently placed under arrest for driving with a license suspended and improper registration.
He was transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with a total bond of $1,000.
Ryan Michael Hulett, 30, 1310 Country Club Road, Niles, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of S. 15th St.
The vehicle was stopped because when the driver saw the police, he allegedly turned his vehicle around and made squealing sounds in the process.
The officers discovered Hulett had been drinking.
He was arrested and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with a $100 bond.
Tammara Lynn Binns, 31, 1251 S. 13th St., Niles, was arrested after police officers patrolling on 17th Street, near Broadway Street, were told by dispatch to be on the lookout for a vehicle whose driver had possibly been involved in a brawl at the Watering Hole Pub, the police report said.
The officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver.
Officers found that Binns had allegedly both been drinking and was in possession of marijuana.
Binns was arrested and given a $400 bond.
Larry Hamrich, 46, 1408 Woodridge Drive, Niles, was arrested after officers made a traffic stop at Fifth and Broadway streets, the police report said.
He was placed under arrest and booked and lodged at Niles City Police Department.
Hamrich was given a $100 bond for driving with a suspended license and $200 for the contempt of court warrant.
