Bridgman wins Lakeland jamboree

Bridgman was the best team at Thursday's Lakeland Conference golf jamboree, hosted by Coloma at Lake Michigan Hills Golf Course.
The Bees' score of 185 was one stroke better than Buchanan's 186. Coloma took third place with 188 River Valley was fourth, also at 188. Edwardsburg finished fifth at 193, Cassopolis took sixth at 202 and Brandywine took seventh at 205. Berrien Springs rounded out the field with a score of 208.
Buchanan's Andrew Colip was the meet medalist with his round of 41.
Also scoring for Buchanan were Nathan Layher with 45, Matt Adams and David Christy with 50 each, Brian Lembke with 52 and Scott Lolmaugh with 58.
Kory Bridges paced Brandywine with his round of 48. Justin Ely shot 51 while Joe Sobieralski and Danny Rauch each shot 53. Mike Beauchamp shot 55 and Josh Dickeson turned in a score of 56.
Coloma leads the league standings with 22 points. River Valley is in second place at 18 with Buchanan in third at 15. Brandywine is fourth overall with 14 points. Bridgman and Cassopolis each have 12 points. Edwardsburg is seventh with 11 points and Berrien Springs is eighth with four points.
