Albion finishes fourth at Hanover Invitational

HANOVER, Ind. – The Albion College cross country program competed in the Hanover College Invitational Saturday, Sept. 6.
Boosted by a seventh-place finish in the individual standings by senior Nick Mockeridge (Belleville), the Briton men finished fourth in a field of 20 teams. Albion posted a team score of 101. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point was the team champion with 33 points.
Mockeridge finished the 8K course in 26:13.17.
Junior Adam Dohm (Cassopolis/Dowagiac Union) was the second Briton to cross the finish line, taking 17th in the individual standings with a time of 26:41.88.
Senior Todd Falker (East Tawas/Tawas Area), sophomore Jay Puffpaff (Ithaca/Ithaca), and senior Taurean Wilson (Albion/Albion) completed Albion's scoring by running in a tight pack. Falker and Puffpaff finished 24th and 25th, respectively. Falker's time was 27:05.83, while Puffpaff crossed the finish line at 27:09.81. Wilson was the 29th runner to cross the finish line at 27:15.39.
