Eddies finish third

EAU CLAIRE -- The Dowagiac golf team finished second in the Green Division of the Berrien Springs Invitational held Wednesday at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course.
Lakeshore won the division with a team total of 210. Dowagiac was second with a score of 216 with Edwardsburg taking third with a team score of 217.
Rounding out the order of finish were Brandywine (226), Coloma (229), Buchanan (241 and Berrien Springs (245).
Lawton won the Gold Division with a team score of 216. White Pigeon was second at 219 and River Valley third at 220.
Rounding out the order of finish were Bridgman (228), Watervliet (230), Lake Michigan Catholic (241), Cassopolis (248) and New Buffalo (254).
Dowagiac was led by David Maxey and Austin Lawrence who shot 67. Ken Scott and Adam Carlson finished with a total of 72, while Ken Franz and Scott Wilkinson shot 77.
Edwardsburg was led by the team of Jesse Johnson and Sammy Ludwig who shot 69.
Jon Muff and Nick Roth finished with a score of 71, while Adam Horn and Matt Lamberton shot 77.
Josh Dickeson and Justin Sobecki shot 73 to lead Brandywine, while Mike Beauchamp and Joe Sobieralski shot 74. Justin Ely and Kevin Curran made up the third team for the Bobcats.
Nathan Layher and David Christy shot 67 to lead Buchanan. Andrew Colip and Brian Lembke were paired together for the Bucks as were Scot Lolmaugh and D.J. Groshans.
Cassopolis was led by Will Loux and Dan Stanage who finished with a 78. Mike Vite and Josh Ampey shot 85 as did the team of Matt Gadacz and Bryan Littrell.
The Chieftains returned to action today as they were scheduled to participate in the Battle Creek Central Invitational.
Eddies finish 12th
The Edwardsburg varsity golf team finished 12th at the Cool-101 Invitational held at Prairiewood in Allegan on Thursday.
Vicksburg won the invitational with a team total of 311. Plainwell was second with 312 and Kalamazoo Hackett third with 317. Kalamazoo Christian (317) and South Haven (318) rounded out the Top five. Edwardsburg finished with a team total of 339.
Jon Muff shot 80 to lead the Eddies, who also got a pair of 85s from Matt Lamberton and Jesse Johnson. Nick Roth shot 80, while Adam Horn shot 90.
