NILES -- Brandywine's board of education is in the process of investigating alleged misconduct on the part of Brandywine Superintendent Dr. Eugene Sweeney.
James Curran, president of the Brandywine Board of Education, confirmed this morning that Sweeney is being investigated. He would not elaborate on the misconduct allegation.
He said he does not expect action to be taken on the issue at tonight's Brandywine Board of Education special meeting, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Bell Education Center.
The special meeting has been called to discuss district goals.
Curran said Sweeney remains at his job while the investigation continues.
Sweeney was not available at his office for comment this morning.
