Registration now open for Michiana Fall Softball League

By Staff
The sixth season for the Michiana Fall Softball League will begin Sunday, Sept. 7, and continue for six consecutive Sundays through October 12.
Each team will play a doubleheader during the first five weekends of play followed by an All-League Tournament at Elkhart Riverview Park on the last Sunday. Each team, weather permitting, will play at least 12 games during the season and tournament.
The league is divided into two divisions (players may choose which division they want to play in) with play taking place at the Elkhart Riverview Softball Complex (East Division) and at the LaPorte Kessling Park Complex (West Division).
The league is open to all girls attending high school in the 2003-04 school year. It does not matter if you are playing in a fall high school sport, since this league is run on Sundays and there are no practices. Players will be registered on an individual basis once the registration fee of $100 is received.
Awards will be given out for the tournament champions and for players named to the All-League team. Seniors will be eligible to compete for a $500 one-time college scholarship (requires an essay).
Space will be limited, so register now. Submit your registration and $100 fee early to reserve your spot in the league.
For questions or registration form call (574) 272-9883 or email mfsl2003@aol.com.
Deadline for registration and payment is Monday, Aug. 18. Mailing address: MFSL, P.O. Box 1671, Mishawaka, IN 46546.
