NILES -- Construction and renovation on Brandywine Public Schools is slotted to begin in Spring 2004 and end by August 2005, announced Superintendent Gene Sweeney at Monday night's board meeting.
He said the community can expect to see visible changes starting next spring. Contractors are currently doing schematic work and developing a timeline.
In other board news, former President Michael Shelton was appointed to Secretary and former Secretary Jim Curran was appointed to President.
Sweeney also recommend a severance package to those employees who were laid off. They will receive pay until July 18 and receive benefits until August 31. Those employees will also receive the chance to get their position back if the position were to be open again.
