Girls AAU Baseball starting soon

The Michiana Girls AAU Baseball program begins its second season on Sunday when its first workout is held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Northside Little League in Mishawaka.
Last season, the girls baseball program attracted players from LaPorte, New Carlisle, South Bend, Mishawaka, Niles and Elkhart.
This season, participation is open to girls between the ages of 12-15.
On Aug. 2-3, the Michiana Girls team travels to Pawtucket, R.I., to play an All-Star team from the Pawtucket Slaterettes Girls Baseball League. This series celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Pawtucket girls program.
