NILES -- Portraits and Images, an exhibition of drawings in charcoal and pencil by Pat Treesh, will be on display in the Eleanor and Mowitt Drew Gallery at the Niles District Library from July 1 to Aug. 23.
Treesh, a long-time Niles resident who creates portraits of people and pets, expresses her feelings about her work: "Drawing for me has grown into a pleasant and successful hobby that I have enjoyed for many years. The human face or figure offers an endless challenge that I like to pursue in my spare time. Most recently
I have taken an interest in drawing portraits of people's houses orplaces of business in and around the Niles area."
Treesh has also exhibited and sold work at the Art Market at the South Bend (Ind.) Regional Museum of Art and exhibited in the Clark Gallery at Fernwood Botanical Garden in Niles.
The Eleanor and Mowitt Drew Gallery is located in the Library's Rotunda and can be viewed during Library hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
