Gators take 18 first places

The Niles-Buchanan YMCA Gators swim team competed in a meet on Tuesday, June 10.
The members of the team brought home 18 first-place finishes.
Amanda Harlow won three first places in the eight and under girls division. She won the 50-meter freestyle, the 25-meter backstroke and the 25-meter breaststroke.
Evan Harlow took two first places in the 9-10 year-old boys division. He won the 100-meter freestyle and the 50-meter backstroke.
Lindsey McCarty finished first in three races in the 11-12 year-old girls division. She won the 100-meter freestyle, the 50-meter backstroke and the 50-meter freestyle.
Allie Fuller took third place in three races in the eight and under girls division. She finished third in the 50-meter freestyle, the 25-meter backstroke and the 25-meter freestyle.
Spencer Fuller competed in two age divisions--the eight and under boys and the six and under boys. He finished first in the 25-meter freestyle for six and under boys. He also finished second in the eight and under 50-meter freestyle and third in the eight and under 25-meter backstroke.
Taylor Fuller competed in the 9-10 year-old division, taking first in the 50-meter breaststroke, second in the 100-meter freestyle and fourth in the 50-meter freestyle.
Jason Furst took first place in the six and under 25-meter backstroke. He also finished third in the eight and under 50-meter freestyle and third in the eight and under 25-meter freestyle.
Emily Harlow competed in the 11-12 year-old division. She took first place in the 50-meter breaststroke, second in the 50-meter freestyle and third in the 50-meter backstroke.
Carsten McCarty competed in the 9-10 year-old division, finishing first in the 50-meter freestyle, second in the 100-meter freestyle and second in the 50-meter backstroke.
Emily Mills won the eight and under 25-meter butterfly and the eight and under 25-meter freestyle. She also finished second in the eight and under 100-meter individual medley.
James Norris, competing in the six and under division, took second place in the 25-meter backstroke and second in the 25-meter freestyle.
Carlee Rankel competed in the 11-12 year-old division. She finished first in the 100-meter individual medley, second in the 50-meter butterfly and second in the 50-meter breaststroke.
Kelsey Rankel, in the 9-10 year-old division, took third place in the 50-meter backstroke and third in the 50-meter freestyle.
Michael Rattenbury competed in the 11-12 year-old division and took first place in the 50-meter butterfly and first in the 100-meter individual medley. He also finished second in the 50-meter freestyle.
