Dowagiac senior J.J. White had a bittersweet day at the Division 2 state track finals at Caledonia High School on Saturday.
White finished third in the long jump, but was disqualified due to a false start in the 300-meter hurdles.
Dowagiac did get one other piece of good news as junior Devon Jackson took sixth in the 200-meters.
Sophomore Ashley Urbanski did not advance out of the preliminary round of the 200-meters.
Edwardsburg and Cassopolis did not place a single competitor at the Division 3 state track meet at Comstock Park High School.
White jumped 21-7.75 in the long jump to take third, while Jackson ran 22.8 in the finals of the 200-meters to finish second.
Urbanski placed sixth in her preliminary with a time of 27.3.
Jordan said that Urbanski never fully recovered from the foot injury sustained at the regional two weeks ago.
