Niles pair picked for All-West Divison

A pair of Niles soccer players were named to the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference All-West Division First Team recently.
Senior Amanda Gilbert and sophomore Amber Peters each made the First Team, voted upon by the coaches.
Dowagiac landed three players on the First Team. Danielle Boyd, Ashley Brewer and Hillary Bisnett each made the list.
Joining the Niles and Dowagiac players on the First Team were honorary captain Stacey Stickney of St. Joseph, Sabrina DeLong of Lakeshore, Wagner Mathew of St. Joseph, Laural Depta of Lakeshore, Kaitlyn Becker of St. Joseph, Nicole Stusick of Lakeshore, Elizabeth Marshke of St. Joseph, Allison Stusick of Lakehsore, Mary Schreneman of St. Joseph, Darnisha McComb of Benton Harbor and Elazabeth Elsner of Benton Harbor.
Niles' Denise Peters was picked as the Coach of the Year.
Niles landed four players on the Honorable Mention portion of the All-West Divison squad. Elle Glueckert, Rachel Storm, Ashley Pingel and Kaylee Bonner each made the list. Dowagiac's Ashley Caldwell was also an honorable mention selection.
Peters and Gilbert were also given Honorable Mention Status for the All-Conference selections, voted upon by the coaches of all 16 schools in the league.
Dowagiac's Boyd, Brewer and Bisnett were also Honorable Mention selections on the All-Conference squad.
