This spring the City of Niles will be flushing hydrants during the day, starting Monday, June 2.
Flushing will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. each day through Friday, June 6.
The City of Niles hopes that this change from nighttime flushing will not be inconvenient for their customers.
However, some customers may experience discoloration of water and to reduce problems this can cause, they offer the following advice:
If you cannot find polyphosphates, oxalic acid can be purchased at drug stores.

Tuesday, June 3, flushing will continue at 19th to 13th streets, and Howard St. to Main St.
Wednesday, June 4, flushing will continue at 13th to 5th streets, and Wayne to Fort streets.
