Niles sends one to state finals

The Niles track and field teams did not fare well at the Division 2 Regional meet, held Friday afternoon at Middleville-Thornapple Kellogg.
The Niles boys scored just eight points while the Lady Vikings finished with just two points.
Jason Todd turned in the best performance for the Niles boys, finishing third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.49 to qualify for the state finals.
Karyce Pulliam finished sixth in the 200-meter.
Tasha Webster scored for the Niles girls, finishing sixth in the 100-meter dash. The Niles 400-meter relay team finished sixth as well.
The Division 2 state finals will be held Saturday, May 31, at Caledonia High School.
