South Bend St. Joseph’s sweeps interstate doubleheader from Niles Lady Vikings

The Niles varsity softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games Saturday to South Bend, Ind. St. Joseph's.
The Vikings, now 8-14 overall, suffered a 7-0 shutout in the first game and then managed just one run in a 5-1 loss in the second game.
Kari Eckstein (3-8) and Crystal Crouch (5-6) took the losses.
Merilee Wuthnow hit a double in the second game for the Lady Vikings, which travel to Battle Creek Harper Creek Tuesday.
