CASSOPOLIS -- Mr. Wiedemann, principal at Ross Beaty Jr./Sr. High School, has announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorians for the Class of 2003.
Alison Green
Alison Green is the Valedictorian for the class of 2003. Alison is the son of Jeffrey and Debra Green of Vandalia.
Her cumulative grade point average (GPA) is 3.986. During her high school career, Alison had been a member of SADD, Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Prom Committee, FFAC, Vice President of Junior Class, Spanish Club Treasurer, Spanish Honor Society Treasurer, National Honor Society, National Honor Society President, Student Senate, Student Senate Vice President, HOSTS, and Math Team.
She has also participated in Volleyball, Softball, Float Committee, Penn 4-H Treasurer, St. Ann's Youth Group and activities, Adopt-A-Highway, Co-Coach for summer league softball.
Anton Smith
Anton Smith is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2003. Anton is the son of Mike and Beverly Smith of Cassopolis.
His GPA is 3.952. Anton has been active in FFA, Band, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, National Honor Society Secretary, 4-H Vice President.
Megan Matthews
Megan Matthews will graduate with Highest Honors with a GPA of 3.806. Megan is the daughter of Susan Matthews of Cassopolis. She has been a member of Spanish Club, National Honor Society, SADD, Editor of the school paper, Science Olympiad, Spanish Club Secretary, Student Mentor, Varsity Club, Student Senate President, and Math Team.
Andrew Weiss
Andrew Weiss will graduate with High Honors with a GPA of 3.789. Andrew is the son of David and Sherri Weiss of Cassopolis. He has been a member of Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Varsity Club, and Church Youth Group.
Corey Gadacz
Corey Gadacz will graduate with high honors with a GPA of 3.766. Corey is the son of David and Dianna Gadacz of Vandalia. He has been a member of Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Who's Who of America, and National Honor Roll.
Emily Larson
Emily Larson will graduate with High Honors with a GPA of 3.660. She is the daughter of Constance Fedore of Cassopolis. Emily is a member of Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society.
Brittney Plummer
Brittney Plummer will graduate with High Honors with a GPA of 3.565. She is the daughter of Nancy Copley of Cassopolis. Brittany is a member of Educational Talent Search, Spanish Club, National Honor Society, COA Dinners, and Assisant Youth Basketball Coach.
Devin Cartwright
Devin Cartwright will graduate with High Honors with a GPA of 3.580. He is the son of Kevin and Miriam Cartwright. Devin is a member of FFA, Band, Spring Play, MIFA, SADD, Boy Scouts, and National Honor Society.
Augustus Allen II
Augustus Allen II will graduate with High Honors with a GPA of 3.563. He is the son of Sherri and Darius Allen of Cassopolis. Agustus is a member of Marching Band, National Honor Society, Thespian Treasurer, and Lakeland Fine Arts Festival.
Michael Vanderbosch
