The Niles baseball team suffered a 9-0 setback at home against Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference foe Coldwater Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings gave up no more than three runs in an inning but could not answer any of Coldwater's offense.
Kyle Kidwell, who worked the first four innings, suffered the pitching loss. Lyle Watson finished on the mound for the Vikings.
Watson hit a double for Niles' only extra-base hit. Kidwel helped his own cause with two singles.
The Vikings are now 9-10 and travel to Dowagiac Thursday.
