Niles soccer improves to 2-5-1 with shutout of Buchanan

Rachael Storm scored two goals and assisted the third as the Niles soccer team beat Buchanan 3-0 at home Monday night.
The Vikings, now 2-5-1, scored just one goal before halftime and two in the second half. Buchanan is now 1-7-1 on the year.
Niles outshot the visiting Bucks 19-3. Patricia Clabaugh had two saves in the goal for the Vikings. Brittany Harrington made seven saves for the Bucks.
Niles returns to action at home Wednesday against Sturgis at approximately 6 p.m. Buchanan's next contest is Monday at Edwardsburg.
The Niles junior varsity soccer team beat Buchanan 4-0 Monday night.
Lacey Wiemuth scored the first goal off a header assist from Christy Walters. Nicole Fink then made it 2-0 with a goal off an assist from Danie Pulaski.
Wiemuth scored her second goal and the team's third off another assist from Pulaski before Jessica Shinsky finished the scoring with a shot from about 30 yards out.
