No. 2 Buchanan wins tourney at No. 1 Muskegon Catholic Central

The Buchanan tennis team won the Muskegon Catholic Central Invitational on Saturday for its fourth tournament title of the season.
The Bucks, ranked No. 2 in Division 4, won the title with 20 points while Muskegon Catholic Central, the No. 1 team in Division 4, finished second with 14 points. No. 10 Grandville Calvin Christian finished third with 11 points and Spring Lake finished fourth with three points.
Winning singles titles for the Bucks were Bryce Coward at No. 1, Sean Jesse at No. 3 and A.J. Mottl at No. 4.
Ryan Evick also finished second at No. 2 singles for Buchanan
In the doubles competition, the Buchanan No. 3 team of Doug Summers and Mike Otwell won the title as did the No. 4 team of Korey Camp and Dan Summers.
The Buchanan No. 1 doubles team of Brandon Schmeling and Chad VanLue also finished second.
The Bucks return to action this afternoon as they host Berrien Springs for a Lakeland Conference dual match.
