The Dowagiac varsity tennis team's match with visiting Eau Claire Thursday afternoon was halted by rain which swept through the area at approximately 4:45 p.m.
The Chieftains were already winning most of the matches, however, the contest was unable to be completed when the courts became soaked by the hard rain.
A date to resume and conclude the match was not available at press time.
The Dowagiac baseball team's non-league doubleheader with Buchanan, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. today, was moved up to 12:30.
