The Niles track and field teams travelled to Lakeshore Tuesday night for a Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division meet and suffered two losses.
Lakeshore's boys beat Niles 99-64 and the Lakeshore girls beat Niles 106-56.
There were some bright spots, however, for the Vikings. The Niles boys won all but one of the relay races. Lonnie Jones won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.74. Ivery Cross won the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.0. Karyce Pulliam won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.55.
The Niles girls won the 800-meter and 400-meter relay races. Ashley Spriggs won the discus with a toss of 75-10. Tasha Webster won the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.03. Rachael Storm won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:36.56. Amanda Britton won the 200-meter dash in a time of 29.34.
The Niles track and field teams return to action Tuesday at home against Benton Harbor.
