Brandywine dropped a pair of Lakeland Conference track and field meets to Berrien Springs Monday night. The Berrien boys beat Brandywine 104-23 while the Berrien girls beat Brandywine 77.5-44.5.
Brandywine's Nikki Smith had quite a night for the Bobcats as she won four events, including setting a school record in the high jump with a leap of 4-11.25. She also won the 100 dash (14.44), 200 dash (29.36) and 300 hurdles (53.91).

The Buchanan boys track and field team opened its Lakeland Conference season with an 84.5-42.5 win over Coloma. The Coloma girls beat Buchanan 106-17.
The Buchanan boys swept the relay races. Quinton Buish cleared six feet to win the high jump for the Bucks.
