Jenna Stuppy fired a no-hitter in the second game as Dowagiac swept Berrien Springs on Friday in the season opener for the Chieftains.
Stuppy fanned 11 and walked just one in earning the victory.
Dowagiac banged out 14 hits, including a pair of doubles by Stuppy, a double and a single by Brianne Reist and three hits each from Brittney Reist and Rachael Willis.
Kelly Tomczak struck out 10 and tossed a one-hitter in winning the season opener for the Chieftains.
Dowagiac (2-0) finished with 19 hits, including three singles and a double from Brittney Reist, a double and a triple by Brianne Reist and two singles and a double from Stuppy. Rachel Minikel singled, doubled and drove in four runs.
