NILES -- A man was arrested for allegedly disturbing the peace at 303 N. Fifth St.'s, 7 Day Party store Tuesday.
Leroy Jr. C Jackson, 49, 511 Cass St., Niles, was yelling profanities and beating on the store business counter with both hands when police arrived, the police report said.
It also said Jackson was demanding his money back.
Jackson had bought two $5 phone cards the week before and had found out that one of them wasn't working, the police report said.
The police report said the store employees allegedly refused to return the money to Jackson.
One of the employees had asked Jackson to leave 10 times before he called the police, the police report said.
The police report said the officers upon arrival, asked Jackson to calm down twice, but he allegedly refused and continued to yell.
The officers then placed Jackson under arrest for disturbing the peace, the police report said.
One of the store employees stated the store wanted to press charges, the police report said.
The police report said Jackson was released on a $100 bond, but officers explained to Jackson if he went back to the store, the management would prosecute him for trespassing
