The Niles tennis team opened Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division play Wednesday with an 8-0 loss to St. Joseph.
The Bears, ranked No. 8 in Division 3, gave up just three games the entire match.
Things don't get any easier for the Vikings, either, as they host Buchanan today at 4 p.m. The Bucks are ranked No. 2 in Division 4. Today is their first dual match.
