NILES -- Winter weather returned with a vengence today, as weary daylight-saving time Michiganders awoke to wet, heavy snow and freezing rain.
Forecasts call for cloudy skies with a chance for some more, light snow tonight, with a low of 27.
On Tuesday, forecasts call for mostly cloudy skies. More light snow is possible, say weather experts at WNDU-TV in South Bend, Ind., but it should not be as cold. They predict a high on Tuesday of 39.
Forecasts call for a return of sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, mixed with partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures -- a high of 47 on Wednesday and 53 on Thursday. Lows Thursday night should for the first time this week be above the freezing mark -- a low of 38 is predicted for Thursday night.
The Weather Channel is calling for partly cloudy skies for Niles this weekend, with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the upper 30s.
