NILES -- It will not be a short drive or a short day for local high school track and field teams when they take part in their respective regional tournaments at the end of the season on May 16 or 17.
The regional tournaments, which are known to last well into the evening, will be held at Middleville Thronapple-Kellogg and Constantine this year.
Thornapple-Kellogg is hosting the Division 2 tournament which includes Niles while Constantine is once again hosting the Division 3 tournament where Brandywine and Buchanan will compete.
The state track and field finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 31.
