Richard A. Crawford, 82, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Bickford of Carmel. He was born on December 26, 1933 to David and Grace (Coleman) Crawford in Dixon, Illinois.

Richard’s strong faith was fundamental in his life, as well as serving others. A member of Harbour Shores Church, he volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Veteran’s Hospital. Richard graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was Vice President and Plant Manager for National Standard in Niles, Michigan and Corbin, Kentucky.

Richard is survived by two sons, Scott (Linza) Crawford of Greeneville, Tennessee and Steve (Christa) Crawford of Granger, Indiana; a daughter, Kathy (Joe) Cox of Fishers, Indiana; a brother, David Crawford of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Seth, Alexa, Samuel, Abigail, Ellie, Elliott and Emma; and his beloved dog, Brewster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Crawford in August of 2009.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Jennings officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
