The Ontwa Township Parks and Recreation Board has the opportunity to pursue grant money for improving parks and recreation facilities the community’s and needs help.

The Edwardsburg Sports Complex’s connector pathway from the village to the complex (scheduled to be complete in 2018) is part of the township’s proposed bike paths plan.

In order to complete its five-year parks and recreation master plan and be awarded grants, the township needs data from area residents.

So residents are being asked to take a brief survey regarding township parks.

The ESC also announced that its Rockin’ Holiday Auction raised just more than $22,000 on Dec. 5.

More than 100 supporters took part in the live and silence auction to raise money for the phase one playground.
