RICHLAND — The Niles volleyball team went 3-0  to win the Gull Lake Quad Tuesday.

The Vikings defeated Vicksburg 25-15 and 25-18, beat Kalamazoo Christian 25-20 and 25-13 and then took down Gull Lake 25-21, 19-25 and 15-10.

“Our goal each set is to play clean, consistent ball,” Niles coach Jenny Nate said. “We played together as a team and pulled out three big wins tonight. My team knew going in that we needed to play consistent and focused concerning all aspects of our game, get the wins and prepare for a big conference match tomorrow night at St. Joe.

“Every ball and every play matters in order to keep improving our record, and my players know that they have to keep digging, improving, and maintaining their intensity every single day.”

Niles is now 35-6 on the season.
