THREE OAKS — The Dowagiac volleyball team defeated Bridgman 25-15, 15-25 and 15-11 to capture the River Valley Invitational Saturday.

The Chieftains defeated River Valley 25-16 and 25-23 to advance to the finals, while the Bees defeated Cassopolis 27-25 and 25-23 to earn a spot in the championship match.

The Chieftains and Rangers split their pool play match with Dowagiac winning 25-24 and Cassopolis winning 25-23.
