Niles netters defeat Dowagiac 6-2

The Niles tennis team stepped out of conference Tuesday for a match against short-handed Dowagiac.

The Vikings rolled to a 6-2 win over the Chieftains, who were coming off their first victory of the season against Coloma Monday.

Dowagiac and Niles split singles flights with the Vikings picking up a 6-1 and 6-1 win by Jacob Ruelle over Zach Davis and a default victory at No. 4 singles.

The Chieftains’ two wins came at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.

Ethan Wagner defeated Riley Delinski 2-6, 6-1 and 6-2, while Colin Rafferty defeated Blake Saratore 7-5 and 6-2.
