Dowagiac tennis picks up win over Coloma

The Dowagiac tennis team got into the win column against former Wolverine Conference foe Coloma Monday.

The Chieftains defeated the host Comets 5-2 in a non-conference match.

Neither team had a fourth doubles squad.

Dowagiac swept the singles flights to help earn the victory.

The clinching win came from No. 1 doubles team David Brogan and Mitch Warsko, who defeated Jacon and Grant Kroschel 6-4 and 7-6. They won the second set tiebreaker 7-0.
