Michiana Masonry on Monday began front facade renovation work to the double storefront in downtown Dowagiac housing Farm Bureau Insurance.

Building owner Jeff Neumann plans to remove the upper level of painted brick, replacing it with new brick, and will then paint the lower storefront to match.

Neumann is participating in the Dowagiac Downtown Development Authority’s Facade Incentive Program, which provides a matching incentive of up to $2,000 per storefront for full facade renovation.

Downtown property owners who would like to participate in the program can call the DDA for further information at (269) 782-8212.
