The project to replace the press box at Brandywine High School is the topic of a special meeting Wednesday of the Brandywine Community Schools Board of Education.

The meeting will take place at 7:30 a.m. in the conference room at the Bell Education Center.

Supt. John Jarpe said they would open bids for the project today and make a recommendation to the school board at Wednesday’s special meeting.

“We want to gain every possible construction day we can to make sure the press box is built, installed, and functioning for the opening football game,” he said. “I’ve seen weather problems, materials shortages, labor problems and other unforeseen obstacles slow down school projects.”
