YMCA accepting registration for Learning Tree Preschool

For more than 35 years the Niles-Buchanan YMCA’s Learning Tree Preschool has been striving to prepare children for kindergarten.

The Learning Tree Preschool is a state licensed preschool for children ages 3, 4 and 5. It provides initial school experiences, while giving the children the academic foundation to build further academic skills.

Children of the Learning Tree preschool get the benefits of one-on-one swim lessons in the YMCA pool, work on developing gross motor education in the gym class and learn about nutrition education from a registered dietician.

“Children should have fun learning,” said Kim Snouwaert, preschool teacher. “If a child loves learning at the young age, it will foster a love for learning throughout a lifetime. It brings great joy to plant the seed of learning at this young age and be part of the experience as the children begin to grow in their learning adventure.”

The Learning Tree Preschool is accepting registration for the 2015-2016 school year.

There are three programs to chose from:

• Two days/week preschool (early 3-4 year olds)

• Three days/week (late 3-4 year olds)

• Four days per week (4-5 year olds).

To register, or for more information, contact YMCA membership services at (269) 683-1552 or visit the Niles-Buchanan YMCA at 905 N. Front St. in Niles.
