Decatur sweeps Dowagiac

DECATUR — The Dowagiac baseball team opened its season with a pair of non-conference losses to perennial state powerhouse Decatur Wednesday.

The Raiders (5-0) defeated the Chieftains (0-2) 10-3 and 7-5.

Daquan Brooks, who suffered the loss, went 2-for-3 in the opener.

In the nightcap, Mack Charles, who suffered the loss, was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the nightcap.
