CASSOPOLIS — Visiting Dowagiac could not stick with Cassopolis in the second half Tuesday night.

After playing well in the first half, the Chieftains (4-15) trailed the Rangers (7-11) 21-14.

Cassopolis outscored Dowagiac 21-12 in the second half on its way to a 42-26 non-conference girls basketball victory.

Kaylynn Forrest led a trio of Rangers in double figures with 11 points.

Cassopolis also got 10 points each from Brittney Prestley and Janye Butts.

Dowagiac was led offensively by Taylor Hulett’s eight points.

Angel Parker added four points for the Chiefftains.

Dowagiac will wrap up the regular season tonight when it hosts Sturgis in a Wolverine Conference crossover game.

The JV game has been moved up to a 5 p.m. start with the varsity game beginning at approximately 6:45 p.m.
