Tickets are still available for Saturday’s Sweetheart Masquerade Ball, hosted by the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber’s president said they’ve sold about 90 tickets so far, but are hoping to sell around 120.

“We are excited to have some wonderful sponsors and we hope it will be a fun evening,” said Tyanna Weller.

Proceeds will go back to the chamber of commerce.

Tickets are $45 if the coupon code “chamber” is used when ordering online at nilesmi.com.

The ball will take place at 6 p.m. at Southwestern Michigan College’s Niles campus.

It will feature a romantic four-course meal with dinner music provided by the Generations Trio jazz band. There will also be a DJ, silent auction, cash bar and Valentine’s Day featured adult drinks, including strawberry jello shots made out of real strawberries and dipped in chocolate.

The chamber decided to offer the ball after members indicated through a survey that they wanted to see a variety of different activities offered in Niles.

“We started this as a new offering and something different for members so they could have a way to take a significant other out and have a nice time,” Weller said. “It’s a way to create a really fun event in Niles.”
