Why did you decide to compete for the title of Miss Dowagiac? I decided to compete for the title of Miss Dowagiac 2015 because when I was younger I was the victim of cruel bullying. I was picked on with harsh names, harassed with my name sang into a riddle, that I dare not to repeat to this day because it still hurts. I wanted to show people that I am no longer that same little girl, insecure, and that I am now a much stronger young lady. I am now confident enough to not only support other beautiful women but to also compete with them. I would like to show other young ladies that if I can have the confidence in myself to get up here than anyone can. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way and I am here to show society this.
