Quick start leads to big win for Bucks

A quick start made for an easy night as Buchanan defeated visiting Centreville 62-40 in BCS Athletic Conference non-divisional boys basketball action Tuesday night.

The Bucks (5-4) raced out to a 16-6 first quarter lead and never looked back, leading 37-18 at halftime and 51-30 heading to the fourth quarter.

Tyler Flynn led Buchanan with 12 points, Josiah Smith added 11 and Eli Lewis 10.

Demarco Taylor scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Bulldogs (1-7). Dyland Teadt chipped in with 10 points.
