Minor bus crash in Niles

A school bus carrying approximately 45 students from Ballard Elementary School slid off the road and hit a tree near the intersection of Weiser and North Portage roads in Niles at around 4:10 p.m. Monday. Two students received minor injuries, a scraped hand and a bump on the leg, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department. No one was taken to the hospital.
