The Pregnancy Care Center in Niles is offering a special Baby Cakes Cupcake Contest during this year’s Hunter Ice Festival in downtown Niles.

The contest, which acts as a fundraiser for the Pregnancy Care Center, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Bell Building, 305 N. Third St., in Niles.

Space for participants is limited to the first 30 bakers. The registration deadline is Thursday Jan. 8.

There will be three categories: adult, youth and professional.

Awards will be given for the tastiest and best-dressed cupcake.

Those that don’t want to bake can still participate by either tasting or volunteering.

A $5 donation gets a choice of three cupcakes, while a $15 donation gets a baker’s dozen (13) cupcakes.

People can also cast their vote for the “People’s Choice”award.
