RICHLAND — The Dowagiac wrestling team went 2-3 at the Blue Devil Classic at Gull Lake High School Saturday.

The Chieftains Coopersvile 58-18 and Paw Paw 42-28; lost to Battle Creek Harper Creek 51-30 and St. Joseph 40-30.

Dowagiac and Comstock tied at 39-39, but the Colts won the make on the eighth tiebreaker criteria (first period points scored).

Tristan Howard went 5-0 on the day, He received four forfeits and pinned St. Joseph’s Myles Tillery in 1:10 at 285-pounds.

Kody Walker went 4-1 on the day at 103-pounds, Nathanael Ward went 3-2 at 135, Nathan Tackitt 3-2 at 140, Aubrey Huston 4-1 at 145, Caleb Sands 3-2 at 160, Mason Hiler 3-1 at 171 and Justin Lyle 4-1 at 189.
