For the third consecutive week, the Daily News Football Forecasters struggled to pick the winners.

All but two of the forecasters posted 5-5 records.

Daily News Publisher Michael Caldwell had the lone winning record at 6-4, while Cassopolis Police Chief Frank Williams was below the “Mendosa” line at 4-6.

Daily News Sports Editor Scott Novak continues to cling to a one-game lead over Dowagiac Athletic Director Brent Nate.

Novak is currently 84-36, while Nate is 83-37.

The rest of the standings remained unchanged thanks to pretty much everyone beginning at the .500 level this past weekend.

There are more tough games ahead for the forecasters including USC at UCLA, Minnesota at Nebraska, Mississippi at Arkansas, Arizona at Utah and Oklahoma State at Baylor.

There are also two games that could be a trap — Louisville at Notre Dame and Michigan at Maryland.
