The Cassopolis varsity football team kept its playoff hopes alive with an easy 48-0 win over visiting Eau Claire Friday night.

The Rangers (5-3) need a win over visiting Centreville on Senior Night Friday to earn its second straight trip to the post season.

Isaiah Crider had a big night for Cassopolis with 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Rangers left no doubt about the outcome of the game after the first quarter, scoring 20 points.

Nick Murphy had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown for Cassopolis, which also got a rushing TD and a receiving touchdown from Noah Woods.

Nick Baker and Alex Emerson accounted for the other Cassopolis scores.

The Rangers finished the game with 384 yards of total offense, of which 317 came on the ground.

Defensively, Cassopolis held the Beavers (3-5) to just 112 yards of total offense.
