The Centers for Disease Control recommends getting a flu vaccine each year for the best protection throughout the flu season.
The 2014-15 flu vaccine, according to Lakeland Health Care, provides protection against H1N1 as well as types A and B influenza.
Lakeland’s flu clinics are open to adults age 18 and over. Pregnant women must have a physician note to receive a flu shot.
The cost of a flu shot is $30. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Lakeland will bill Medicare for the flu vaccine with proper documentation.
