Masked gunmen robbed a Niles liquor store Sunday night, making away with cash, cigarettes and alcohol, but leaving employees uninjured.

The Niles Police Department confirmed that four unknown suspects robbed the Crockers Party Store at 1702 Broadway St. at 10:43 p.m.

Police Chief Jim Millin said the suspects are believed to be black males and that they fled in an unknown direction using an unknown mode of travel.

Crockers employee Aman Deep Singh said he and three other workers were inside at the time of the robbery.

Singh said he was mopping the floor when a person wearing a black

hoodie, black mask, black gloves and blue jeans approached him. The person put a handgun to the back of his head and told him to lie down on the floor.

“I just felt very scared because this never happen to me before,” Singh said. “It was close to death — you know? I am still scared.”

Singh said all four robbers had handguns and were wearing similar clothing.

“I didn’t really see anything because they made me lay down,” said Singh, adding the others employees were treated similarly to himself.

Singh said none of the employees were injured and that the incident lasted about five minutes.

Millin said they took cigarettes, alcohol and a small amount of cash.
