Edwardsburg wins Niles Doubles tourney

Edwardsburg captured the Niles Doubles Tournament on Saturday.
The Eddies scored 14 points to edge the host Vikings, who finished with 11 points. Brandywine was third with 10 points and Bronson fourth with one.
The tournament format paired the No. 1 and No. 2 singles players together for the first flight and the No. 3 and No. 4 singles players for the second flight.
The remaining four flights consisted of the team’s regular doubles squads.
Winning flight championships for the Eddies were Brendon Haney and Jacob Kanaby at No. 1, Tevin Alexander and Jacob Layher at No. 4 and David Bronicki and Tom Mackling at No. 6.
