BENTON HARBOR — St. Joseph continues to be the best team in the SMAC West golf race.

The Bears shot 177 to finish 31 strokes better than runner up Portage Northern, which finished with a 208 at Harbor Shores Monday.

Niles finished sixth after shooting 259.

Elizabeth Clark led the Vikings with a 55.
